The Czech National Bank’s commemorative banknotes pay tribute to important figures associated with the establishment of the Czechoslovak currency. The third collector’s paper banknote with a nominal value of CZK 100 commemorates Vilém Pospíšil.

On the front of the banknote, on the left-hand side of the printed image, is a portrait of Vilém Pospíšil, the first governor of the National Bank of Czechoslovakia. To the right of the portrait is a depiction of the Czech National Bank headquarters in Prague with a sculpture of a torchbearer and a lion. To the right of the building, there is a cornucopia with fruit printed in intaglio, with the central state emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic in the middle and a genius with a laurel wreath above.

On the reverse side of the banknote, the corner of the former building of the Prague Municipal Savings Bank in Prague is printed in the middle of the print image. To the right of the building is a genius with a beehive, and to the left of the building is a composition of fruit. Below the genius is the large state emblem of the Czech Republic and a linden wreath.

The issuance of commemorative banknotes was sanctioned by a special law, and their exclusive producer is the Prague State Printing Office.
