The Czech National Bank has issued the ninth gold coin from the series Urban Monument Reserves. Its theme is the town of Štramberk.

The coin is minted from 999.9 gold and is issued in two versions, regular and proof, which differ in surface finish and edge design.

In the top-grade coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is frosted, while the edge is smooth.

In the art competition of the Czech National Bank, the winning design was by the medal designer Veronika Prokopová, DiS. The expert jury was impressed by the imaginative collage of the most important Štramberk monuments.

The mural of the interior of Jaroňek's shelter is appropriately incorporated on the obverse side. Heraldic animals of the Czech Republic complete the composition.

On the reverse side we can find an elaborate collage of the most important monuments of the Štramberk MPR.
In the foreground there is a Neo-Renaissance fountain, in the middle the Church of St. John of Nepomuk and a ground-floor house with a Neo-Baroque gable and in the background the ruins of Strallenberg Castle with a cylindrical tower called Trúba.

Each coin is accompanied by a catalogue card with a description of the coin and its plastic representation.

The coin is housed in a red case with the CNB logo in gold.
