STANDARD quality coins have a scalloped edge.
The Venus of Věstonice, a nearly 30,000-year-old figurine found in 1925 during archaeological excavations in South Moravia, takes the form of a nude, plump woman. Wide hips, powerful breasts and large buttocks represent the prehistoric ideal of beauty. This tiny relic of a mammoth hunter is the oldest known piece of fired clay in the world, and therefore evidence of the very beginning of ceramics. No wonder it is one of the most valuable Czech museum exhibits, whose cultural and historical value is incalculable.
The obverse side features the Venus of Věstonice against the backdrop of the Pálava Hills.
On the reverse side you will find mammoths, which are typical for the given period and culture.
Each coin is accompanied by a catalogue card with a description of the coin and its plastic representation.
